Elastotet Quantum Galvanize Spray is a cold galvanizing aerosol whose dry film consists of 99% zinc. The coating bonds electrochemically to steel and cast iron, creating cathodic protection equal to hot-dip galvanizing in terms of film durability and protection against salt corrosion.
What cold galvanizing is
Hot-dip galvanizing requires immersing the part in molten zinc — a factory process. Cold galvanizing achieves the same result on site: zinc particles stay in electrical contact with the metal and corrode first, leaving the base steel intact. This is why the spray is used to restore weld seams, cut edges and damaged zinc coatings.

How to apply
Surface preparation
Apply to a clean, dry metal surface that has been abraded with sandpaper beforehand. Remove rust, old paint and mill scale, then clean and degrease the surface. The better the preparation, the longer the protection lasts.
Spraying
Shake the can thoroughly before use. Spray from roughly 20–30 cm in thin coats, keeping the can moving. Two thin coats give a better result than one heavy coat. Work in a well-ventilated area.
Overcoating
The zinc layer can be overcoated with standard paint — in that case Quantum Galvanize acts as an anti-corrosion primer.

Frequently asked questions
How is it different from ordinary silver paint?
Ordinary paint covers metal mechanically only — once scratched, rust starts immediately. Zinc spray provides cathodic protection: the zinc sacrifices itself chemically instead of the steel, so protection continues around the damage.
Can it be used on galvanized corrugated sheeting?
Yes. The spray is designed precisely for local repair of damaged or aged zinc coatings.
Do I need a primer before spraying?
No. The product is itself an anti-corrosion primer. Correct sanding and degreasing is enough.
