BIODUR Aluminium Spray is an aerosol aluminium enamel for protection, restoration and decorative painting. It contains finely divided, highly purified aluminium — 99.5%. It forms a durable glossy coating with an aluminium lustre and protects metal from corrosion.
Heat resistance is the point
The coating withstands +300 °C under constant exposure and up to +500 °C for short periods (no more than 2 hours). That is why this enamel is used where ordinary paint burns off and peels within a season: barbecues, stoves, fireplaces, chimneys, boilers, radiators, exhaust system parts.
What 99.5% aluminium gives you
The aluminium powder is not only a pigment. The metal flakes overlap and form a barrier that reflects heat and UV light and shuts moisture out. Hence heat resistance, corrosion protection and a lustre that holds up outdoors, all from the same mechanism.

How to apply
Surface preparation
The surface must be clean, dry and free of grease. Remove loose old lacquer and rust, then sand the surface.
Spraying
The can should be at room temperature. Best working temperature is +15 to +30 °C. Shake the can for 2 minutes and spray a test sample. Spray from 25–30 cm in several thin layers, shaking the can again before each new layer.
After use
Clear the valve: turn the can upside down and press the nozzle for about 5 seconds.
Drying time depends on ambient temperature, air humidity and the thickness of the applied layer.

Safety and storage
According to the safety data sheet (version 2.0, 28 January 2025), signal word Danger:
- Extremely flammable aerosol
- Pressurised container — may burst if heated
- Causes serious eye irritation
- Hazardous respirable droplets may be formed when sprayed — do not breathe spray or mist
- Repeated exposure may cause skin dryness or cracking
Contains methyl acetate. Keep out of reach of children. Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks and open flames — no smoking. Do not spray on an open flame. Do not pierce or burn the can, even after use. Protect from sunlight and do not expose to temperatures above +50 °C. Work in a well-ventilated area.
Frequently asked questions
Can I paint a barbecue or a stove?
Yes, that is one of its main uses. The coating is rated for constant +300 °C and tolerates short spells up to +500 °C.
Will it work on an exhaust?
The manufacturer lists exhaust system parts among its uses. Bear in mind that the section nearest the manifold can run hotter than +500 °C — that calls for a dedicated high-temperature enamel.
Do I need a primer?
The enamel protects metal from corrosion itself and goes straight onto a prepared surface. What matters is removing rust and flaking old coating and sanding the substrate.
How is it different from ordinary silver paint?
The amount and purity of aluminium. Here it is 99.5% finely divided, highly purified aluminium on an acrylic base — which is where the +500 °C rating and the resistance to petrol, oils and saline solutions come from.
