NOVBYTHIM heat-resistant enamel – protection for metal at temperatures up to 600 °C

NOVBYTHIM heat-resistant enamel is formulated to protect and decorate metal, glass, concrete, plastered and brick surfaces exposed to high temperatures. The coating withstands heating up to red-hot metal, making it suitable for areas where conventional enamels burn out and crack very quickly.

Where NOVBYTHIM heat-resistant enamel is used

The enamel is ideal for stoves and furnace fittings, fireplaces, flue and chimney pipes, heating radiators, exhaust systems and engine parts, as well as other hot metal structures. Silver colours tolerate temperatures up to around +600 °C, while black versions are designed for up to around +400 °C. The coating also offers resistance to moisture, fuels and oils.

Key benefits and application guidelines

The enamel shows excellent adhesion to metal and mineral substrates, dries in about 2 hours at +20 °C and provides good hiding power with economical consumption. For best durability, the surface should be thoroughly cleaned from rust and old paint, sanded to a matt finish and then coated with 2–3 thin layers with flash-off time between coats, followed by heating the item to operating temperature for full curing.
