HOW TO CALCULATE THE COST OF DELIVERY?

HB Body 980 1K Primer is a one-component NC sanding primer for automotive refinishing. It dries fast, sands excellently and can be overcoated with any type of paint.

Suitable substrates:

  • old, sanded paint work;
  • clean and sanded steel panels;
  • HB Body fillers.

Preparation. Clean the substrate with a soft cloth and 770 Antisil Normal or 771 Antisil Fast Degreaser. Wipe dry first, then let it air dry.

Application. Thin 50% with 740 Normal, 741 Slow Acryl or 767 Nitro thinner. Ready to spray viscosity 27–29 s DIN 4 at 20 °C. Nozzle 1.5–1.8 mm, pressure 1.7–2.2 bar (25–32 psi). Apply 2 coats, 80–120 microns total. Flash off 5–10 min at 23 °C.

Drying. 1 hour at 23 °C without heat, or 10 minutes at 60 °C panel temperature, or 3–5 minutes under a short wave IR lamp at 60–70 cm.

Sanding. Dry P320–P500, by hand wet P600–P1000. Then overcoat with HB Body 1K and 2K paints.

Technical data: specific gravity 1.25 ± 0.02 g/cm³, solid content 57 ± 1% by weight, theoretical coverage 7–8 sq.m/L at 50 micron dry film thickness.

Important. Use only with the recommended thinners. Do not apply below 15 °C. Clean equipment with 767 Nitro thinner. Shelf life 24 months in unopened original containers at 5–25 °C. For professional use only.
