RADUGAMALER is an alkyd-urethane enamel for roofs and metal surfaces exposed to the weather. It forms a glossy, high-hiding finish that resists scratches, impacts, precipitation and UV. Extra frost-resistant formula.

Key advantages

  • High hiding power
  • Resistant to scratches and impacts
  • Resistant to weathering and UV
  • Glossy finish
  • Dries fast — 2–3 hours at +20 °C
  • Extra frost-resistant formula

Where it is used

  • Metal roofs
  • Metal roof tiles
  • Tinplate
  • Slate
  • Gutters, pipes and other metal surfaces exposed to the weather

The enamel protects the surface from corrosion and precipitation, extends the service life of the roof and gives it a decorative look.

What it can be applied to

RADUGAMALER is applied directly over surfaces painted with alkyd or acrylic paints, and over steel sheets (metal roof tiles) with a factory coating — POLYESTER or ACRYLIC.

Prime first: untreated galvanised steel roofs, as well as aluminium and steel surfaces, must be primed first. Aluminium is roughened before priming.

How to apply

Surface preparation

The surface must be clean and dry — free of dust, oil stains, flaking old paint and blisters.

Thinning

Thin with synthetic solvent — up to 10% by weight. For spray application, also up to 10% by weight.

Coverage

Depends on the surface. On average 1 kg per 8 m² in one coat. 6 kg of enamel covers about 48 m² in one coat — for example, a 40 m² roof takes about 5 kg.

Drying time

At +20 °C the enamel is touch-dry in 2–3 hours and fully dry in 24 hours.

Frequently asked questions

Can it be applied over old paint?

Yes, if the old coating is alkyd or acrylic and firmly adhered. Remove flaking paint and blisters before painting.

Is a primer needed?

Not over alkyd or acrylic paint, or over factory-coated metal roof tiles. Untreated galvanised steel, aluminium and steel must be primed first.

How much enamel do I need for a roof?

On average 1 kg per 8 m² in one coat. 6 kg covers about 48 m²; a 40 m² roof takes about 5 kg.
