Enamel food XC-558 for containers and reservoirs
XC-558 Chemically resistant enamel - a special coating with high resistance to the action of aggressive chemicals contained in food products. Suspension of titanium dioxide and fillers in a solution of a copolymer of vinylidene chloride with vinyl chloride modified with elastomers in a mixture of organic solvents.
Destination
Paint Enamel XC-558 is designed to protect food containers from the aggressive effects of liquid food products. Only available in white.
XC-558 enamel coating provides high protection of the painted surface from any chemicals contained in food products.
The total number of layers is determined by the degree of aggressiveness of the environment in which a particular container will be operated, as well as by the specific requirements of the customer and regulatory and technical documentation.
Use Options
For painting metal, concrete and wooden food containers:

as an independent chemically resistant coating;

together with other paints and varnishes of the XC series - as a layer in a complex chemically resistant multilayer coating.
Special properties

durability as part of a complex three-layer coating with paints and varnishes of the XC series - at least 10-15 years (subject to the instructions for use and in the absence of mechanical damage to the coating);

complete water tightness;

high coating strength, resistance to mechanical, electrical and electrostatic loads, as well as vibration;

high chemical resistance to water, salts, acids, alkalis, aggressive gases, alcohol;

own chemical inertness;

wide operating temperature range — from -60°С to +105°С, resistance to temperature extremes;

high fire resistance, due to the ability to self-extinguish;

resistance to damage by fungus, moss, mold and insects;
-
high elasticity (200%) and, as a result, the almost complete absence of cracking and peeling of the coating;

Drying time at 20 °C - 3 hours, the smell after drying is completely absent;

no smudges even on a vertical surface.
Scope of enamel
Protection of internal and external surfaces of metal, concrete and wooden containers used for storage, processing and transportation of liquid and bulk food products (including alcohol, wines, juices, beer, milk).
Applying XC-558 Enamel

The paint is applied by brush, roller, pneumatic or airless spray without heating.

Enamel can be applied at temperatures from -10°C to + 40°C.

Stir thoroughly before use. The surface must be clean and dry before painting.

The recommended number of layers is 2-4.

When painting inside containers, ensure good ventilation.
Consumption rates

Approximate consumption when applied in one layer 140 -160 g/m².

Attention! The final polymerization of the coating ends 14-40 days after application (depending on temperature).

During this time, the coating gains strength and acquires all its properties.

During this period, it is not recommended to subject the painted surface to strong mechanical stress, especially in the very first days.
